Crimped Maize is one of the most exciting products to come on to the feed market in the last few years. As you can see from the analysis it is extremely high in energy and starch. Crimped maize will fit any ration that is looking for energy or starch but works particularly well in grass based rations and rations where wheat needs to be reduced because off digestion problems, this is because of its by-pass starch characteristics which feed the hind gut and therefore does not need to be broken down in the rumen. Storing Crimped Maize

Crimped Maize is a moist feed that has been treated with Kemira's Crimpstore 2000s preservative. It can be stored outside. It is 65-70% dry matter so therefore has no effluent coming from it. It needs to be stored in an air tight environment much the same as forage but on a smaller scale. (see below for clamp construction info).

Crimped Maize is delivered in bulk tippers, either at Harvest or during the winter. It can be stored in a clamp or in an Agbag which is like a large sausage. This is an excellent way to store crimped maize if no clamp is available. This operation would take place by us or local contractor the same day the crimped grain is delivered. (see pictures below).
